This past 2009 season we had 4 acres of specialty pumpkins, winter squashes, gourds and melons growing.
We had specialty pumpkins like: Cinderella's classic which turned into a beautiful carriage, white pumpkins as well as jack-o-lanterns and sugar pie.
Winter squashes grown were: Buttercups, Acorn, Butternut, Sweet Dumpling, Amber Cup, Sunshine, Spaghetti, Carnival along with traditional Hubbard and baby Hubbard varieties.
The gourds ranged from very traditional small varieties of stripped green, yellow, and orange. There were tiny pumpkin gourds, warted gourds and large speckled swan necks.
We also offered earlier in the season personal sized melons. The two varieties grown were Honey Rocks and Solanas.
